Start with the engineering course requirement

Pacific Middle School currently requires graphic composition notebooks for Design & Engineering and specifies a 5×5 quad-ruled graphing composition notebook for the elective. Notre Dame Academy’s 2026-2027 list also requires a bound graph-paper composition notebook for engineering lab use.

These are local requirements, not universal standards. Follow the actual teacher or syllabus first.

Grid density matters when the class specifies it
